Since dropping Monalisa in 2021, Lojay become one of Afrobeats' most celebrated artists. According to Wetalksounds, Lojay has surpassed 250 million streams on Spotify. His recent EP 'Gangster Romantic' released earlier this year has successfully hit 25 Million streams on Spotify. He was featured on 'Sensational' by American superstar Chris Brown with Davido.
Lojay reacted to this milestone by saying he achieved this feat independently with the help of his team. He reacted on social media by saying, "Blessed to have done this independently. With God, my amazing team and you my fans". The superstar recently presented his project on Apple Music Home Session, where he performed stripped-down renditions of some of his classic songs. The Home Session EP, accessible in Spatial Audio, included three unique acoustic tracks by the singer: 'Monalisa', 'IYD', and a cover of Libianca's 'People'.
